RELEASE: Kelly Ayotte Continues Pattern of Schedule Stonewalling, Refusing to Provide Details of Political Travel

Concord, N.H. -- Yesterday, it was reported that Senator Kelly Ayotte is dodging her constituents and refusing to provide details of her schedule for an entire week of the Senate’s seven week summer recess.

This is not the first time Ayotte has come under fire for refusing to disclose her whereabouts. In May, Ayotte took nearly an entire week off with no public events. It only came out after the fact that she used the entire week to hold private campaign events. Ayotte also refuses to provide details of her out of state political travel or even account for the nearly half of Homeland Security Committee hearings that she’s skipped during her time in office.

“While Kelly Ayotte’s Republican Senate skipped Washington for a seven week break without addressing Zika or any number of pressing issues, it’s troubling that Ayotte is refusing to even let her constituents know what she is up to,” said New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley. “Hiding from the public during her August Recess is yet another example of Ayotte’s refusal to do her job and being out of touch with the people of New Hampshire."
